Dogs on Thursday

" Ok Honey Dew, all clear she's gone! So what do you want to play with today? Oh wait a minute our big brothers are here too. Shucks, just another snow day. *sigh*"

The temperature this morning is zero. We have advisories out for Lake effect snow and chill factors of as low as -20.
This kind of weather kind of makes it just a liiiiiittttttllllee difficult to stick to the New Years' Resolution of walking the Pups daily! Not to mention the depth of the snow. Do they make snow shoes for dogs?

  1. Wow! it is cold. My friend Jess (VeeDogKnits) has snow shoes for her dogs, so they do make them. I don't know if the bassets would tolerate them. Short walks are good. g

  2. Phew, rather you than us....bbrrr, we're cold just reading your bloggy today! Hope you'll get out for a walk soon....snow is fun but not if it buries you! Thanks for the daily puppy heads-up :o) Peat does come from the land, the peat on the beach is under the sand, the whole bay is on a peat bed and where the dunes are eroding you can see the layers, however many hundreds of thousands of years old! It may be the same as what you use in your garden but more compressed? You can't burn it straight off the beach as it smells bad, but if it's rinsed and dried it's lovely!

  3. Oooooooo, that is cold, I think concrete or asphalt would really be painful to their paws!

  5. It does look cold there and I am sure your poor bassets' paws will get cold!
Perhaps you could all jog round the house so you can keep your New Years Resolution!
Then again we have seen dogs on treadmills.

  10. I wonder if the furbabies really want to take a walk in the snow?? Mine wouldn't but there are some diehards out there that would love to romp in the snow. :)

Thanks for visiting my blog. To answer your question, yes the teller finally sent the dog treats. They both gobbled all the treats up.
