Picture Postcard Perfect

This was the view from my window overlooking the driveway during a break in the white out conditions of our snowstorm yesterday. Isn't it beautiful?

The nicest part was not having to go out in it. My husband, oldest son, puppies and I were all snug as a bug in the house watching the snow. What a nice peaceful day. Got the Christmas tree set up...although not decorated yet, that will be tonight.

I have to say a big thank you to my future daughter in law, Julie, for coming on Saturday and baking Christmas cookies with me. It was a very nice time of catching up as she has been away at college. We made five different kinds of cookies for the holiday. Yummmm, yyyuuummm! I forgot to take pictures though. We usually get together with two of my other sisters and their daughters and my son Ben's girlfriend, Elise. but with 5 in college and some working it was hard to arrange. Maybe next year. If you see Julie ask her about her experience with the flour and mixer! More later....

Too Funny

Last night Honey Dew and Sampson were playing and wrestling over a rawhide chewy. Pretty soon Sampson trotted away with his tail and head held high figuring he won the battle as he carried away his prize....his long ear in his mouth! Honey Dew calmly picked up the raw hide and went in the other direction! Every Sampson has a Delilah!

College Kids-You got to love 'em!

Everything is a crisis one minute and the next day it is all good-gee mom what are you worried about! GRRRRR....

Books, classes, schedules and we get to do this every 3 months. There should be a support group for parents. And Ben, I am not being a helicopter mom!

Anyways, all for now.

First Blog

The snow is falling in western PA and definitely looks like a scene in a movie or at the very least a snow globe. At moments like this I wish I had a good camera to capture the moment. Nice when you can look out but not have to travel in it. On my lunch break at the moment so I am not goofing off. I do wish that I was home though so I could dress up the dogs in their sweaters and go out and have a snow ball fight with them. Oh don't worry they always win! More later! Hopefully with pictures!
