On my way to work this morning...

Fountain Park

The roads are clearer but running out of room to pile the snow. Made it!

Currently on the needles, aren't the colors lovely? The Noro yarn is made in Japan and is called Silk Garden, made up of 45% Silk, 45% Kid Mohair, 10% Lamb's Wool. Absolutely divine to work with. Any guesses to what I am making with it?

Of course this is just 3 blocks that made up block 1, long way to go, and it will have to be blocked upon completion. It must be the colors and the texture because this just flies off the needles!

  1. Hmmm, i am going to guess a log cabin throw??
LOVE the Noro silk garden. They (Noro) have the most amazing colorways!

  2. Eww, looks like grotty weather, we had a sunny morning with a spot of rain in the afternoon, not a snow fan!
The yarn looks lovely, are you knitting a cosy blanket?
    Slobbers xx

  3. I love the Noro - I have knit quite a bit with it! I need to finish my Lizard Ridge (blanket) though... It is 3/4 complete and sitting around in long rolls!
Oh, and please send some snow southward, ok?

  4. I DO like the snow but it's probably best if you're not having to go anywhere in it.
That must be some kind of blanket - looks lovely. Almost makes me want to get knitting myself but I'm sure I've forgotten how!

  5. I guess you are making a cosy blanket for when you hibernate!

  6. Looking like it might turn into a knitted quilt! Beautiful!!

  7. Hi Tina,
I liked your pictures but it looks sooo cold. Glad you made it to work. I think you are making a little blanket. What ever it is the colors you chose are beautiful.

  8. Beautiful photos.....wish you could send just 2 inches our way! Lovely yarn, hmmmm, an afghan?

  9. Yes! Those ARE some great colors.
