Once we got to the bike trail the rest was a breeze and that expression "just like riding a bike" is very true. No accidents, no problems, just fun! It was a nice warm sunny evening for a ride and the trail was so peaceful. We saw a deer, ducks, geese, lots of gorgeous wild flowers, waterfalls, rock formations, I was so busy enjoying that I only took a few shots...
a gentle waterfall...
Hubby posing for me :-)
He so enjoys getting his picture taken, lol, but he is a good sport!
Wild Flowering Dogwood, was everywhere through the forest, just beautiful!
Overlooking the river, standing on the old railroad trustle.
Zooming in on some Merganzer's from atop the railroad trustle.
We really enjoyed this trip, having time just by ourselves and the peace and quiet. We are going to do this again in the near future, and take a picnic supper. Can't wait!
Looks like an awesome bike ride, but when I tried getting back on one a few years ago, my balance had found someplace else to go! I might have to try again this year, if I get a comfy seat first!! And pump up the tires, since they've not been used... Nice pictures too.
ReplyDeleteLooks and sounds wonderful! It makes me think I should get out on my bike....I would do it more often if it wasn't for the hills and wind!!
ReplyDeleteTogether time, thats what makes it so neat! Sounds like your picnic will be fun!
ReplyDeleteNeat pictures too!
You live in a beautiful area! I am glad you are finally getting to enjoy being outside again. Sampson and Dew must be happy with warmer weather again.
ReplyDeleteHi Tina
ReplyDeleteWe are very impressed with your six miles! Well done. Great pictures even with your camera shy hubbie!
We had a trailer for the bikes for Harry, our last basset! Perhaps you should get two and take Sampson and Honey Dew with you.
It certainly builds up the leg muscles.
love
